For the internationally active, multi-award-winning design studio ID AID, the vision behind the design of Skandis Pro was to combine lightness and comfort in a modern, clear design language. The classic office swivel chair was reimagined – more transparent, more minimal, yet with a strong spatial presence. The semi-transparent mesh backrest gives Skandis Pro an elegant visual lightness, while the harmonious silhouette still conveys the sense of a full, comfortable volume. This creates a hybrid aesthetic that naturally combines openness and a sense of security. A special detail is the innovative, screwless plug-in system, which allows the chair to be assembled completely without tools in just a few minutes – quick, precise and intuitive. It underlines the holistic design approach where aesthetics and function are in perfect balance. The lumbar element merges seamlessly into the backrest structure, using its geometry for flexible, evenly distributed support. It forms a functional detail that integrates subtly yet effectively into the overall design. The result impresses with precise design, structural elegance and ergonomic sophistication – a versatile chair for all modern working environments, from home offices to traditional workplaces.
