Bookshelves or decorative shelves are usually designed in such a way that they can carry a lot of weight per shelf. They are usually only deep enough so that books can be easily sorted without protruding. This means that even large bookshelves do not appear overwhelming, but rather fit easily into the interior. Due to the high load, it is important that the shelf is stable on the wall and cannot tip over. If there are small children in the household, we recommend attaching the bookshelf to the wall to prevent it from accidentally falling over. In terms of design, they are often designed as open shelves to visibly display the books and are not only used for storage, but are also often used as a decorative element and eye-catcher in a room.
