Which of your data do we process? And for what purposes?
We process the data that you sent to us in connection with your application in order to check your suitability for the position (or other open positions in our company, if applicable) and to carry out the application process.
What legal basis is this based on?
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application process is primarily Section 26 BDSG in the version applicable from May 25, 2018. The data may then be processed if it is necessary in connection with the decision to establish an employment relationship. If the data may be required for legal prosecution after completion of the application process, data processing can be carried out on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular to protect legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) GDPR. Our interest then lies in asserting or defending claims.
How long is the data stored?
In the event of rejection, applicants’ data will be deleted after 6 months. If you have agreed to further storage of your personal data, we will add your data to our applicant pool. The data will be deleted there after two years. If you have been accepted for a position as part of the application process, the data will be transferred from the applicant data system to our personnel information system.
To which recipients will the data be passed on?
Your applicant data will be viewed by management after receipt of your application. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the department responsible for the respective open position. The further process will then be coordinated. In principle, only those people in the company who need it for the proper processing of our application process have access to your data.
Where is the data processed?
The data is processed exclusively in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Your rights as a “data subject”
You have the right to information about the personal data we process about you. If you request information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may then require evidence from you to prove that you are the person you say you are. You also have the right to correction or deletion or to restriction of processing, to the extent that you are entitled to this by law. You also have the right to object to processing within the framework of the legal requirements. The same applies to a right to data portability.
