In today’s working world, characterised by constant change and the shift to often exclusively digital work, ergonomic and comfortable workstations are becoming increasingly important. A key element here is the office chair, which is not just somewhere to sit, but also a major factor in health and productivity. That is why well-known manufacturers such as Songmics and hjh OFFICE offer a range of models to meet these changing demands and provide each user with individual, optimal support. A small number of models have proven to be particularly popular. One of them is the Songmics OBN063B01 office chair. In this article, you can find out what features it offers and what possible alternatives are available.
What is the SONGMICS OBN063B01?
It is no coincidence that this model is currently very popular. Priced at 327,98 € (RRP as of 11.2024), depending on current discounts, it sits in the lower to mid price segment. Like other office chairs in this category, the Songmics OBN063B01 office chair also comes with a range of ergonomic features.
Ergonomic backrest
An ergonomic backrest is an essential feature for anyone who spends hours sitting, whether at work or at home. This innovative support promotes a healthy posture and reduces strain on the spine. Thoughtfully designed, the backrest adapts to the individual contours of the back, ensuring optimum comfort and relief. The angle of the backrest can be adjusted to 95°, 115° or 130°. This allows the Songmics OBN063B01 to support an ergonomic sitting posture throughout the working day.
Adjustable lumbar support
Adjustable lumbar support offers significant added value for anyone who prioritises ergonomic sitting. It relieves pressure on the lower back, which has a positive effect on your sitting posture and overall comfort. The lumbar support of the Songmics OBN063B01 office chair is padded and adjustable both in height (6 cm) and depth (2 cm). This allows the Songmics office chair to be individually adapted to the user’s back.
Comfortable seat
The Songmics OBN063B01 features a highly elastic, U-shaped cushion. A comfortable seat on an office chair is essential for the comfort and health of people who spend many hours at a desk. High-quality padding adapts smoothly to the contours of the body and offers an ideal balance of support and softness. This not only promotes concentration and productivity, but also helps prevent health issues such as back pain.
High load capacity
For an office chair to be suitable for many people, it should offer a certain level of load capacity. Only then can you sit comfortably for long periods. Most office chairs are designed for a weight of up to 120 kg. The Songmics OBN063B01 has a maximum load capacity of 150 kg, making it suitable for a large proportion of users.
Mechanism and functions
To ensure you can sit comfortably and pain-free even after a long working day, your office chair needs more than just ergonomic features. The mechanism and functions also play a crucial role. The Songmics OBN063B01 is equipped with a tilt mechanism. The seat height, armrests and the angle of the wide headrest can be adjusted. The lumbar support can also be adjusted in height and depth.
